PPO and Premier plans accepted. Direct claims submission. Most preventive care covered at 100%; basic at 80%; major at 50% up to your annual max.

Cigna Dental

Total Cigna DPPO plans accepted. We verify your specific coverage tier before any work begins. CareCredit pairs well for orthodontics and cosmetic.

Aetna

Aetna Dental PPO and DMO plans. We submit claims directly. Note: many DMO plans require referral for specialty work, we coordinate.

Most major PPOs

BlueCross BlueShield, MetLife, United Healthcare, Guardian, Humana, and others. If your plan isn't listed, call, we likely still accept the benefits as out-of-network.

Financing for what insurance doesn't cover

Annual maximums are limited. Implants, full-mouth work, and cosmetic cases routinely exceed what insurance pays. We have three paths to bridge the gap.

CareCredit

Healthcare credit card accepted at most dental practices. 0% APR promotional plans for 6, 12, 18, or 24 months on qualifying balances. Apply online or at our front desk.

In-House Plans

For larger cases, Invisalign, full-arch implants, full-mouth reconstruction. No interest for 12โ€“18 months when 25% is paid at the start of treatment.

HSA / FSA

Pre-tax dollars from your Health Savings Account or Flexible Spending Account. Run the card like any credit card. Significant savings vs paying with after-tax dollars.

Common insurance and financing questions

Which dental insurance plans does Dental Excellence accept?
We are in-network or accept benefits from Delta Dental, Cigna, Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, MetLife, United Healthcare, Guardian, and most major PPO plans. We file claims directly so you don't have to. Final coverage depends on your specific plan, deductible, and annual maximum, we verify benefits before treatment so there are no surprises.
Do you accept Medicaid or Medicare?
Standard Medicare does not cover routine dental care. We are not currently a Texas Medicaid provider for adults, but we can refer you to local options if Medicaid is your only coverage. Children's Medicaid (CHIP / Texas Children's Medicaid) is accepted at select pediatric dentistry clinics, call us and we'll point you to the right resource.
What if I don't have dental insurance?
We offer transparent, itemized cash pricing on every service plus CareCredit financing with promotional 0% APR periods for qualifying patients. New-patient exam + cleaning + X-rays packages are available at a discount when paid at the time of service.
How does CareCredit work?
CareCredit is a healthcare credit card accepted at most dental, vision, and veterinary practices. You apply online or at our front desk and receive a credit decision in minutes. Promotional plans include 0% APR for 6, 12, 18, or 24 months on qualifying balances. After the promotional period, standard APR (currently 26.99%) applies to remaining balances.
Do you offer in-house payment plans?
Yes. For larger cases (Invisalign, full-arch implants, full-mouth reconstruction) we offer in-house monthly payment plans with no interest for 12 to 18 months when 25% is paid at the start of treatment. We also accept HSA/FSA cards.
Can I use my HSA or FSA?
Absolutely. Health Savings Accounts and Flexible Spending Accounts are pre-tax dollars you can spend on qualifying dental work, exams, cleanings, fillings, crowns, implants, orthodontics, and more. Bring the card to your visit; we run it like any credit card.
What happens if my insurance doesn't cover something we recommended?
We tell you in advance. Before any procedure beyond a standard exam or cleaning, we provide a written treatment estimate that shows what insurance will pay and what your out-of-pocket cost will be. You decide whether to proceed, defer, or stage treatment across calendar years to use multiple annual maximums.

Verify your benefits before your first visit.

Call us with your insurance information and we'll confirm coverage, share an estimate for your first appointment, and walk through any financing you might need.
