Why patients choose Dental Excellence for veneers

Smile preview before prep

Digital smile design lets you see and approve the proposed result on a screen, and on a temporary mockup, before any tooth is reduced. Cosmetic decisions made with eyes open.

Minimally invasive prep

Modern bonding adhesives mean we can remove just 0.3-0.5 mm of enamel, about the thickness of a fingernail. Some cases qualify for true no-prep designs.

Bite and airway integrated

A smile makeover that ignores your bite or how you breathe will not last. We plan vertical dimension and occlusion alongside aesthetics, the AAOSH-trained difference.

Long-lasting porcelain

Hand-built porcelain veneers from a master ceramist last 12-25 years with care. We document the case so future repairs and replacements stay color-matched.

Veneer options for every case

Different goals call for different materials. We discuss all three on day one and recommend the fit for your case, lifestyle, and investment.

Porcelain Veneers

$1,200-$2,000 per tooth. The aesthetic gold standard, natural translucency, longest lifespan, custom-built for your face. Most smile makeovers use these.

Lumineers (No-Prep Porcelain)

$1,000-$1,800 per tooth. Designed for minimal-to-no tooth preparation. Best for select cases, minor color or shape correction without major repositioning.

Composite Bonding

$400-$1,000 per tooth. Same-visit chairside cosmetic correction. Lower investment, lower lifespan (5-10 years), best for younger patients or single-tooth touch-ups.

Common porcelain veneer questions

How much do porcelain veneers cost in Stephenville?
Porcelain veneers in central Texas typically run $1,200 to $2,000 per tooth. Composite (chairside) veneers are $400 to $1,000 per tooth. Most smile makeovers involve six to eight upper front teeth, total investment usually $7,000 to $16,000 depending on materials and case complexity.
How long do veneers last?
Porcelain veneers typically last 12 to 25 years with proper care, according to data from the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry. The biggest factors are nighttime grinding (we evaluate and protect with a custom night guard if indicated), oral hygiene, and avoiding biting hard objects.
Do veneers ruin your teeth?
Modern minimally-invasive veneer prep removes only 0.3 to 0.5 mm of enamel, about the thickness of a fingernail. Some no-prep designs require zero tooth reduction. The procedure is reversible in those minimal-prep cases. Veneers placed on heavily-prepped teeth are not reversible, that's why planning matters.
How is the process different from a traditional dentist?
We use intraoral digital scanning (no goopy impressions), digital smile design (you see the proposed result before any tooth preparation), and AAOSH-trained bite-and-airway analysis (so the new smile fits your face and how you breathe). Most cosmetic-only practices skip the bite analysis.
Veneers vs Lumineers vs composite bonding, which is right?
Porcelain veneers offer the most aesthetic range and longest lifespan but require more tooth prep and higher investment. Lumineers (a brand of no-prep porcelain) work well for select cases but offer less correction. Composite bonding is fastest and lowest cost but requires more touch-ups over time. We tell you on day one which fits your case.
Will my insurance cover veneers?
Most insurance classifies veneers as cosmetic and provides no coverage. The exception: when a veneer restores function (chipped tooth, severe wear), insurance may cover the underlying restoration, usually about $400 to $800 of the per-tooth cost. We verify before treatment.
How long does the process take?
Most cases finish in two visits over two to three weeks. First visit: digital scan, smile design preview, and minimal prep. Second visit: final delivery, color match, and seating. We may add a third visit for final adjustments.
