Rest and recovery
The Sabbath Body
The body keeps Sabbath whether you do or not. The only question is whether the rest comes from your calendar or from your collapse.

Worn teeth, recession, recurring canker sores, jaw clicks, tension headaches, these are not separate complaints. They are the dental version of "the body is asking for rest." The pattern is the same whether the rest is daily, weekly, or seasonal: when we don't take it on purpose, the body takes it on its own terms.
The Sabbath body recovers, repairs, integrates. It is not a luxury. It is the working state of a body that intends to last forty more years.
Takeaway
A weekly day of rest, an evening unplugged, and a sleep schedule kept on purpose are dental health interventions, even if they don't feel like it.
